Marion Crane and Sam Loomis are lovers but can not marry because of lack of money. One day the boss Marion instruct it to the bank to deposit $ 400,000 that she received from a client. Marion sees thus be able to solve their financial problems, deciding to flee with the money, but, because of the bad weather, is forced to stop at a motel on the way.
