1954, the peak of the Cold War, agents Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule are summoned to "Shutter Island" unlikely to investigate the disappearance of a criminal's impenetrable Ashecliffe Hospital. Surrounded by psychiatrists and circumspect dangerous psychotic patients, they find themselves involved in a mysterious and volatile atmosphere that suggests nothing is what it seems ... With a hurricane approaching the island, the investigation progresses rapidly. However, as the storm increases in intensity, the suspicions and mysteries multiply each more sinister and terrifying than the last. There are indications and rumors of dark conspiracies, sordid medical experiments, secret wards, mental control and even something supernatural. Moving in the shadows of the hospital haunted by the terrible deeds of its inhabitants and unstable designs by unknown suspects also the doctors, Teddy begins to sense that the deeper he gets in the investigation, is closer to be confronted with some of their most profound and devastating fears. And also realizes that you can not leave that island alive ...
