João Guilherme Estrella was born into a middle class family in Rio de Janeiro. Son of a former director of the National Bank, he grew up in the Botanical Gardens and attended the best schools, having friends among the city's most influential families. Charismatic and popular, John lived intensely the 80s and 90s. During this period he met the world of drugs, even without ever having been in a slum. It soon became the biggest drug dealer in Rio de Janeiro, was arrested in 1995. From then got to know the daily life of the Brazilian prison system.
